Biochemistry and Biotechnology are two fields of life science; the former is concerned with the chemistry of biological systems, while the latter is concerned with the use of technology to research biological systems. Biochemistry is the study of metabolic processes within living systems and the illnesses that result from defects in these processes, whereas Biotechnology is the study of biological mechanisms and how they can be observed and modified to improve lives and health.
